We assess your teen's needs and goals, design a personal program to enhance skills, and teach effective strategies. Most of our students increase their scores by 100 points on each SAT section, and 4 points total on the ACT. Your teen will be well prepared and confident at test time!
As school workload increases, students not working up to their potential can develop poor self-esteem and a seeming "lack of motivation". Our skills assessment helps pin-point the root of the problem, and a program is designed to help. We help students learn to manage time efficiently, get organized, and develop proper study habits!
Whether your child struggled or excelled this school year, all students experience "summer slide". An individual learning program will be designed for your child to catch up or get ahead. Summer learning at SLC is fun, interesting, and effective!
Whatever your child’s needs are, the Somerset Learning Center is ready! Over the years, my children have attended tutoring for algebra, calculus, reading, writing, organizational skills and SAT preparation. I have had two children, grades 11 and 5, come to the Somerset Learning Center. My older child not only went from a “C/D” grade to an “A” in math, but he raised his Math SAT’s by 100 points!! My younger son went for math tutoring and reading tutoring. We see marked improvement. I am very happy with their progress, and I know they won’t need to struggle so much next year by participating in such a valuable program. The teachers care for the children and are very positive. The Director has a wonderful program and a great staff.
