Homework Help

Classroom Pressure

As school work becomes more difficult, many students need extra help to master new concepts and maintain excellent grades.

Foundation Skills

Sometimes foundation gaps in reading, writing, or math contribute to homework difficulties. Lack of effective study skills can also contribute to homework problems.

Grades & Motivation

As homework struggles are eliminated at home, and gaps in foundation skills are reinforced; students become more positive, independent, and successful in school.

About SLC Homework Help Tutoring

At SLC, our certified and experienced teachers provide students with complete academic support that is effective and unique. Whether the difficulty is in math, science, or English, we offer immediate homework help to make a demanding class easier and more manageable. At the same time, our tutors reteach and reinforce the foundation concepts a student has not mastered in the past. When students receive homework help with difficult subjects or assignments, we utilize their own textbooks and materials. As soon as practical, we use our own specialized materials to provide supplemental instruction to correct knowledge and skill gaps. Students improve grades and confidence, and build a firm foundation for future learning!

Homework help can also be combined with Study Skills instruction. Not only do students improve grades in difficult subjects, but they also learn the skills necessary for effective studying in general.

What Parents Are Saying...

Both of my boys look forward to their weekly sessions at the Somerset Learning Center – especially when they are working on projects or studying for tests. They really rely on that extra boost to help them prepare. It takes the pressure off Mom and Dad too! There are a lot fewer homework-related arguments at home.

Our daughter was struggling with advanced math which began to undermine her self-confidence. We saw a marked improvement in her grades and general demeanor thanks to the support and caring from the Somerset Learning Center team. Her grades and class participation have improved dramatically and her interest in school has been revived. Many thanks to Mrs. Marshak and everyone at Somerset Learning Center for providing our daughter a stronger educational foundation by developing better study habits and encouraging her thought process. With the support of the Somerset Learning Center team, Elizabeth continues to blossom academically and personally.
